SYNOPSIS
First performed in London in 1993, Diane Samuels’s deeply moving play has established itself as something of a modern classic.
Prior to the outbreak of the Second World War, a humanitarian mission in Britain transported around 10,000 mostly Jewish children from Germany to be cared for in British homes. Young Eva is sent to England in this moving account of wartime child migration. An odyssey of hope, heartbreak, passion, guilt and love between three generations of daughters and mothers.
