Tickets, Seating, and Venue Information

Ticket Sales

Advance sales of tickets are handled by Eventfrog or sometimes directly by the venue (e.g. Theater Keller62) and sales usually start four or more weeks before a play opens.  Eventfrog operates a website (www.eventfrog.ch) in German and French and an app for iOS and Android. Please note Eventfrog and ZEST do not offer ticket sales by telephone. If you have trouble purchasing tickets online or via the app, please email ticketing@thezest.ch for assistance.

Additionally, Eventfrog offer ticket sales at outlets including:

  • Swiss Post (additional fee CHF3.- per ticket, max. CHF9.- per order)

  • BLS in Bern and Lucern (additional fee CHF3.- per order)

  • OLMO TICKET Bern (additional fee CHF2.- per ticket, max. CHF6.- per order)

  • SOB in Kanton Schwyz (additional fee CHF3.- per order)

Ticket Prices

ZESTs base prices for tickets in the Theater im Seefeld are CHF25.- (students), CHF35.- (balcony) and CHF45.- (stalls) with allocated seating (chosen at booking).  Prices for some productions may vary.  Ticket prices for other venues such as Theater STOK and Theater Keller62 range from CHF28.- to CHF42.-.

For seating plans, please refer to the ticket sale pages on Eventfrog or on the website of Theater Keller62 for the specific event you wish to purchase tickets for.  Generally speaking at the Theater im Seefeld, there are 12 rows of 24 seats in the stalls and 4 rows of 24 seats on the balcony, but this may vary for some performances.

Box Office

ZEST does not sell tickets online, but does operate a box office (Abendkasse) on performance nights at all theatres.  The box office opens one hour before each performance.  All ticket purchases made at the box office can be paid for with card or cash (excluding older PostFinance cards with the 'Plus' logo).  We do not hold tickets on the box office, so it is possible that no tickets are available.  To reserve tickets for collection, please contact the Ticketing Manager.

Gift Cards

ZEST gift cards can be redeemed for any ZEST production at any venue at the box office (if there are seats for the production available). Reservations for future performances can only be made by contacting the Ticketing Manager. Each gift card entitles the bearer to one free seat (chosen at time of reservation) and one free drink at the bar before, during, or after the show. The gift card must be presented upon collection of the ticket and drink at the theatre box office and bar respectively. Gift cards can be redeemed only once and are not redeemable or refundable for cash. The value of the card will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or altered. Gift cards cannot be redeemed at our ticketing partners such as Eventfrog or Theater Keller62. We recommend that gift card holders reserve tickets early to avoid disappointment, but last minute tickets are sometimes available at the theatre box office (Abendkasse).

Food and Drink

We offer a bar service with a selection of drinks and small snacks at all of our performances.  The bars are usually open from one hour before each performance, during any intervals, and for 30 minutes after each performance.  Food and drinks can be paid for with card or cash (excluding older PostFinance cards with the 'Plus' logo) and drinks for the interval can be pre-ordered at any bar before the show to avoid the queues.  Our menus vary between venues and performances, but generally consist of a selection of soft drinks, coffee, red and white wine, prosecco, beers (including alcohol free), and water, in addition to snacks such as Walkers™ crisps, chocolates, biscuits, cakes, and sometimes savoury snacks.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer hot food.  For allergy information, please consult the Front of House Team.  Please note that glasses are not permitted in the auditorium at the Theater im Seefeld and we kindly ask for the comfort of all our guests, that loud snacks not be consumed during the show.  If you're lucky enough to look under 16, please don't be offended if we ask for some form of ID.

Cloakroom

We operate a cloakroom at all of our venues.  The cloakroom is free to use and always attended by a member of the Front of House Team.  Items are left at the owner's risk and ZEST accepts no liability for any items.  We operate a tag system at some venues, but not all.  A lost tag will cost you CHF5.-.

Parking

None of our venues have their own parking spaces.  We suggest that guests travel using public transport wherever possible.  Public parking, however, is available within a short walk from all theatres, normally for a fee.

Wheelchair Users

Access to the Theater im Seefeld is step-free and four seats are kept available at each performance at CHF38.- each (two places for wheelchair users and two for those accompanying them).  These may be reserved by contacting the Ticketing Manager and can be collected and paid for at the box office on the night of the performance as detailed above or via email.  The Theater STOK and Keller 62 are both basement theatres with approximately 15 steps leading into the theatre and is therefore, unfortunately, inaccessible for wheelchair-bound guests. Handrails are available for guests with limited mobility and there will always be a helping hand in the Front of House Team if required.

Group Bookings

For some venues where ZEST is responsible for ticket sales, individuals or groups wishing to purchase blocks of tickets (at least ten for a single performance) will have the opportunity to do so at a discounted price (please select the category 'block booking regular' or 'block booking students' when buying your tickets).  For more information, to be placed on the block bookings newsletter, or for help with block bookings, please contact our block bookings email.  Those subscribed to the block bookings newsletter will be informed of ticket sale starts at least one week before anyone else.  Generally speaking, we offer a discount of 10% to groups, but this varies by venue and production.
