Twelve Angry Jurors
On a stifling summer afternoon in New York, twelve strangers are brought together in a jury room to decide the fate of a teenager accused of murdering his father. The verdict seems obvious, but one juror disagrees. What appears on the surface to be an open-and-shut case soon grows complicated as the jurors bring their own prejudices and passions to the debate. Tempers flare and lines are crossed, but with the life of the accused at stake, can the truth prevail? The play is derived from Twelve Angry Men, a teleplay which was made into the award-winning 1957 film starring Henry Fonda. The theatre version had a critically acclaimed revival in London in 2013.
